National User Group 2024 Round Up

18 July 2024

On 9th July 2024, we held our first joint Docobo and Graphnet user group at the Studio in Birmingham and online. We brought together Graphnet and Docobo customers, partners, and suppliers to talk about the amazing work they’ve been doing to further efforts in population health, remote monitoring and virtual care. We started the day with a session for all attendees, and delegates then moved into their three streams of Shared Care, Population Health, or Docobo remote monitoring. With three streams running throughout the day, we had a packed agenda!

Shared Care stream

The day kicked off with a joint session for all attendees from David Grigsby, Graphnet’s Chief Business Development Officer, Fiona Gillanders, Chief Product Officer, Product Management, Brandon Newman, Clinical Workflow Lead and Mandy Wright, Chief Delivery Officer. They talked us through how Graphnet’s shared care, population health, care plans, PHR and remote monitoring operate together – drilling down into examples of health coaching and preventative healthcare.

Next up were Graphnet’s Simon Cavell, Chief Technology Officer and Piers Manser, Director of Product Strategy and Design who talked about Transit Layer Security (TLS) and continuous updates – looking at how to guarantee the security and efficiency of the system.

Fiona Gillanders and Piers Manser then reviewed all the great progress we have made in the last year of Shared Care and talked us through the roadmap for the future.

We were delighted to welcome our first customer showcase - Evelyn White, Programme Director at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. Evelyn spoke to us about the great work going on since the deployment of the KMCR (the Kent and Medway version of CareCentric) in 2021, with an average of 8,700 health and care professionals in Kent and Medway using the KMCR each month. Evelyn shared how they utilise the KMCR for care planning and focused on the two elements of Frailty and ReSPECT.

Piers Manser then gave us an interesting snapshot of V4 of Shared Care, looking specifically at its deployment, how this is going and importantly, what is next!

Our next customer presentation came from Matthew Hutton, Digital Lead, at Integrated Care Northampton, who talked about the amazing work going on across the patch at Northampton and how the team are going about increasing engagement and usage.

To round off an amazing stream, Fiona Gillanders led us in round table discussions, where we were invited to consider everything that we had heard about during the day.

The Graphnet Population Health stream started off with Darryl Davies, Product Director Population Health and John Gray, Product Manager Graphnet, introducing us to the Population Health workstream and talking through the pop health roadmap and plans for the foreseeable future.

After this, Chris Buckels from C&M demonstrated how data can be turned into action, as well as integrating analytical tools.

Next up we welcomed Alan Thompson, Director of International Sales and Support from Johns Hopkins ACG, who shared with attendees the incredible new funding formula which has been developed in Leicestershire and which is working to reduce health inequities.

Sarah Adams and Andy Evans of Graphnet then told us all about how use cases can be brought to life and gave us insight into a range of use case demos to deepen our understanding.

We then heard from Darryl Davies - Graphnet’s Population Health Product Director, who gave us a workbench demo of Population Health, drilling down into the dashboards in Care Centric v4.

John Gray, Product Manager at Graphnet then spoke to us about migration plans and the use of Data Lakes.

After this, we heard from David Grigsby about the Use Case Catalogue and allowing access to applicable use cases. This linked nicely to our next presenter, Sarah Adams, Director of Health Analytics, Graphnet, who gave us a demonstration on use cases, followed by Andy Evans, who examined the use of Population Health to build an investment case - using remote monitoring as a case study.  After this, he gave us a demonstration of AI- co-pilot in Power BI.

To end the day, we discussed what we consider to be the next big priorities for Population Health, wrapping this constructive discussion up with feedback and a Q&A.

Docobo User Group

After a short break for lunch, we welcomed Simone Lubowitzki from the Medical University of Vienna, who spoke about managing oncology patients' symptoms across the EU using the DOC@HOME Remote Patient Monitoring platform. Later in the afternoon, Adrian Flowerday returned to discuss opportunistic screening, focusing on atrial fibrillation. This was followed by an engaging session with Sarah Adams and Andy Evans from Graphnet, who explained how population health data can be used to evaluate and build investment cases for remote monitoring.

The day concluded with Adrian Flowerday summarising the key takeaways and thanking everyone who participated. It was a day full of learning, innovation, and collaboration. Thank you to all our speakers and attendees for making NUG24 a success!
