Cardiovascular monitoring to assess and potentially detect undiagnosed atrial fibrillation and hypertension

Docobo Remote Monitoring has announced the release of its latest version of cardiovascular monitoring functionality, which provides the opportunity to screen, assess and potentially detect undiagnosed atrial fibrillation (AF) and hypertension, two conditions strongly associated with an increased risk of stroke.

Docobo Remote Monitoring is working with a number of clients to roll out this screening capability. By incorporating brief assessments for AF and hypertension, individuals at increased risk of stroke, can be identified and guided to preventative care pathways.

Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide and early detection and management of risk factors are crucial in preventing its occurrence. Hypertension affects a significant portion of the UK population, and if left untreated, it can lead to severe complications such as stroke, heart failure, and kidney disease, while undiagnosed atrial fibrillation poses a substantial risk, as it increases the likelihood of developing blood clots, which can cause life-threatening conditions like stroke or pulmonary embolism.
